Community Build

The playground community build will take place June 2nd and 3rd. Click here to check out our question and answer sheet. Click here to see an updated design plan. We hope you will get involved—here are the ways you can help:

  • Make a donation. Consider a donation of $5 per child. All donations go directly towards the purchase of playground equipment. Scroll down for donation information.
  • Buy a Brick. Last call for bricks! Click here to buy an engraved brick for the new park entrance. All brick order must be HAND DELIVERED to 17 Greenwood Street by Friday, May 4th.
  • Volunteer. We’re using VolunteerSpot (an online sign up and reminder tool) to schedule volunteers for the build days. Please sign up below. We are also seeking volunteers for Heat Events Management's Hoppin' Mad Mud Puddle Run on May 20th. To volunteer for the Puddle Run, email: schapmanPRC@gmail.com
  • Get a FREE energy assessment. For each assessment, $10 is donated to the PRC. Click here for information.
  • Come to an event. Fund raising events are listed at right. Come celebrate with us!
  • Spread the word. Tell your friends. Tell your friends to tell their friends. And so on . . .

Mission

The mission of the Park Renovation Committee (PRC) is to design, fund, and build a safe and accessible community playground where children and adults can come together to learn and grow. The PRC's objectives are

  • to raise funds for purchase and installation of new park equipment
    that is appropriate for all children.
  • to create a public space that meets current accessibility and safety requirements and includes areas for park visitors of every generation.
  • to beautify the Amesbury Town Park for all to enjoy.
